Involvement in AALA is one of the most direct ways to benefit from your membership.  The chapter is led by a member-elected Board of Directors whose duty is to ensure the chapter is meeting the needs of its members and fulfilling its Mission and Goals while adhering to the Chapter ByLaws. Section Chairs, Committee Chairs and other volunteers also play a large part in achieving these goals. 

AALA inspires excellence in the business of law by providing quality education by world-renowned speakers, peer-consulting, leadership development, networking opportunities with peers and Business Partners, and so much more! 

ALA has created a standard by which chapters are measured called the President’s Award of Excellence.  The President’s Award of Excellence awards chapters for their management efforts and recognizes chapters for their various achievements.  AALA has received the highest rating available for over ten years.  As a Platinum level chapter, AALA has:

  • provided educational opportunities in the five core competency areas of legal management: Communications and General Management, Financial Management, Human Resources, Legal Industry and Office Operations Management,
  • has strengthened the Chapter through strong Business Partner relationships, membership recruitment and retention campaigns and community service efforts and
  • has created developed new leaders within the organization while ensuring the expertise of seasoned professionals continues to be of benefit to the Chapter.

The Chapter has received recognition and many awards thanks to the efforts of dedicated AALA Members Community.  ALA has also created Chapter Performance Objectives to which AALA strictly adheres.
